Last updated: 13 August 2026.

01

Site and project data

Site addresses, postcodes, planning references, project details, deadlines, selected services and documents or drawings uploaded with an enquiry.

Website and security data

Cookie choices and, where applicable, technical information used by hosting, security, analytics and anti-abuse systems to operate and protect the website.

02

Why we use personal information.

Enquiries, quotations and project delivery

We use information to respond to you, understand the site and requested services, prepare quotations, administer instructions and deliver consultancy work. Depending on the circumstances, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, and/or for our legitimate interests in operating the consultancy and keeping appropriate business records.

Legal, professional and business records

We may keep project and communication records where reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting, quality-management, dispute-resolution and professional-risk purposes. Where a legal obligation applies, we process information to comply with that obligation; otherwise we rely on our legitimate interests where appropriate.

Marketing communications

Marketing preferences are kept separately from operational enquiries. Where consent is required, we ask for a separate optional marketing opt-in. Where another lawful route is documented for appropriate business-to-business communications, the marketing record stores that basis and source. Every marketing contact can object or unsubscribe, and an opt-out is retained on a suppression list so the address is not accidentally marketed to again.

Website operation, security, maps and analytics

We use technical systems to keep the website secure, prevent abuse and understand site performance. EnviroSolution's first-party cookie controls store your choices locally and publish analytics/advertising consent through the WordPress Consent API. Google Site Kit remains responsible for Google Consent Mode and Google tags, so Analytics and advertising measurement follow the choices presented on the site. Security tooling such as Wordfence and Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical request and browser information for security, fraud-prevention and automated-abuse detection purposes. The Contact page includes an OpenStreetMap embed that loads when the page opens; browser and network information, including the visitor IP address, may therefore be transmitted to the map provider so the office map can be delivered.

03

Consent records and marketing preferences.

Website consent records can include the wording shown to you, consent version, time and source page. Marketing status is recorded as active, unsubscribed or suppressed with an audit history so preferences can be respected.

You can withdraw marketing consent or object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or visit the unsubscribe page. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect our ability to use information where another lawful basis applies for an existing enquiry, contract, legal obligation or necessary business record.

04

Who information may be shared with.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary with service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, IT, security, analytics/cookie management, payment processing when enabled, professional advisers, and authorities where disclosure is required by law.

For consultancy projects, relevant project information may also be shared with vetted subcontractors, laboratories, specialist subconsultants or delivery partners where needed to provide the instructed services and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where international-transfer rules apply, appropriate contractual or other recognised safeguards are used as required.

05

How long we keep information.

Website enquiries

Records marked as spam are automatically removed after 90 days. Enquiries marked as lost are automatically removed after 730 days. Private uploaded files linked to those records are removed at the same time.

Live and completed work

Quoted, won, live and project-related records are retained for as long as reasonably needed for project delivery and applicable legal, accounting, insurance, quality and professional-record requirements, then reviewed in line with business retention needs.

Marketing

Active marketing records are kept while the relationship or documented marketing basis remains relevant and are subject to review. Minimal suppression information may be kept after an opt-out for as long as needed to make sure the preference continues to be respected.

06

Your data-protection rights.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict processing, receive certain information in a portable form, and object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing. We will stop marketing covered by that objection and may retain the minimum suppression record needed to make sure your preference is honoured.

To exercise a right, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are concerned about how your information has been handled.

07

Cookies and changes to this notice.

The necessary es_cookie_preferences cookie remembers your choice for up to 180 days, while WP Consent API consent cookies communicate the selected categories to compatible services. These optional technologies remain denied unless you allow the relevant category. Google may change the exact cookie names or durations used by its services over time.

Necessary cookies and security functions may operate where required for the site to work safely.

We may update this notice when the website, services, integrations or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.
